The Japanese Stewartia is a good choice if you are looking for something unique and elegant. Its major features are the camelia type white flowers in summer and with age the bark on the stem gets multiple tones of grey and brown similar to a 'camo' pattern.

Cold Hardiness - Not for harsh locations, so in protected areas it is good for -30C.

Sizing - 15' tall and 8' wide at maturity, taking about 15-20 years to achieve that size. Location - Full sun to 75% shade, protected areas like the backyard, does not like wet roots but needs watering through dry summers.
