Features and Where to use
Likely the most well known and widely used evergreen. And for good reason, it grows very full, and has bright green foliage. If it goes into good soil then it will not let you down as a reliable stand alone plant or a screening hedge.
Growth Details
Cold Hardiness - Survives to -40C if the location is not windy. It does fine in windy spots above -30C.
Sizing - The Emerald cedar can grow as tall as 15' and as wide as 4' after 30 years or more most commonly seen as a 6-8' tall hedge.
Location - Full sun to 75% shade, so it's widely adaptable. Prefers garden shelter but will thrive in windy locations as well. Moist but not wet soils required.
