Compact, tidy, shapeable, and elegant. Hill's yew maintains its dark green needles year round, making it a great all season foundation cover. It's tough too! Sun, shade, dry or wind, this soldier will keep it's post. Compared to Hick's it is more compact and has finer foliage, with few or no berries.

Cold Hardiness - Good down to -34C. Sizing - maximum maturity of 6-8 feet and can be pruned to be as small as a 2.5-3' tall hedge. Location - Sun to full shade, windy locations are no problem and drier soils are best.
