Adelaide Dunbar is the same as the common lilac, and is native to Ontario. These are very tough plants and bloom reliably year after year. Give this one some space, along a fence or in the back corner of the garden. Blooms are light purple and fragrant - wonderful scent, you've probably had many products in your home with 'Lilac' in its name trying to mimic its aroma!
Cold Hardiness - Hardy in temperatures down to -40C. Sizing - These lilacs are large shrubs and can grow to 12', prune after flowering to keep shorter. Location - Full sun to 75% shade (less blooms in shade), moist to dry conditions, wind hardy.
