Features and Where to use
The Dwarf Mugo Pine is an industry standard that has stood the test of time. Can tolerate the toughest winters and parking lot locations. Prune once a year, when new shoots (known as candles) come out in late spring, cut them down to 25-50% of their length and poof you have a tight shrub for another year.
Growth Details
Cold Hardiness - Well Cold hardiness should be it's middle name, We peg it at -40C but some have reported it surviving at -50C!
Sizing - Full untrimmed size 3' tall by 5' wide, happy to stay 2' high by 3' wide with the once a year trim in June.
Location - Full sun to half shade, wind is no issue, drier is better.
