It's not only a forest beauty, it's great in a garden setting as well. It has pretty white Spring flowers that mature into edible nuts and attractive purplish-red fall colour. It is likes moist soil, and even tolerates clay.
Growth Details
Cold Hardiness - Resilient down to -40C.
Sizing - This plant achieves a maximum of 5-6' in height and 4' width if left to its own devices. Yearly trimming will keep this plant looking good in the range of 2-4' height. Location - Full sun to 50% shade, and it is just fine with wet soils or clay.
