This is a reliable dwarf lilac variety that you might have admired (with your nose and eyes) in your grandma's garden, and it's still a favourite amongst gardeners and landscapers now. In mid to late spring they flower heavily, reddish purple buds opening to lilac pink flowers that are rich in fragrance.
Cold Hardiness - can handle temperatures down to -40C (zone 3).
Sizing - compact grower, maturing at 4' tall and wide, but can be kept small with a pruning once a year after flowering.
Location - Full sun to 50% shade (needs at least 6 hours of sun to flower nicely). Once established, dry soils or wet soils it's all good, wind is no problem.
