The Hick's yew is good for sun or shade, rain or shine, dry or …well it doesn't like it wet but it is one of the toughest plants going. Millions of them are planted in North America every year due to it's reliable and flexible reputation. It has an upright growth habit and gets a few small red berries in the fall.

Cold Hardiness - Good down to -34C. Sizing - maximum maturity of 8-10 feet and can be pruned to be as small as a 2.5-3' tall hedge. Location - Wow, Full sun to full shade, windy locations are no problem and drier soils are best.
