Calamagrostis x acutiflora 'Karl Foerster'
Features and Where to use
Karl Forester is the standard in grasses you can count on. Rich green blades stay in a tight clump and in summer they push out wheat looking seedheads of a sandy colour that contrast nicely with the dark green foliage. Don't worry about the seedheads making lots of annoying new plants, the seeds are sterile.
Growth Details

Sizing - Grows to be 4-5' tall to the top of the seed heads, clump is about 18" wide. Location - Full sun to 25% shade, like a lot of grasses they take dry soils really well, windy spots are no problem.
