Features and Where to use
Red Rocket is a great vertical accent tree, growing slimmer than most Acer Rubrum species. Clusters of red flowers adorn the branches in spring before leaves appear. Leaves start out red, then turning green for the Summer, then to a vibrant red with orange highlights in the Fall. Red fall colour is extra bright when in acidic soil. A great tree for a small yard!
Growth Details
Cold Hardiness - Hardy in temperatures down to -40C, zone 3
Sizing - Medium growth rate, will get to be 30' tall and 10' wide.
Location - Full sun, Prefer acidic, average to moist, well drained soil. Wind hardy and somewhat urban pollution hardy.
