Likely the most well known and widely used evergreen. This spiral form needs to be trimmed once or twice a year. Simply follow the shape it presents, shaving off most of the NEW growth while leaving a little to keep its vitality. Great for planters or out front of the house.
Growth Details
Cold Hardiness - Survives to -40C if the location is not windy. It does fine in windy spots above -30C.
Sizing - The Emerald in Spiral shape if trimmed once or twice a year to keep its shape will be happy in the 5-7' size range.
Location - Full sun to 75% shade, so it's widely adaptable. Prefers garden shelter but will thrive in windy locations as well. Moist but not wet soils required.
