Features and Where to use
This is a unique Southern Ontario native tree, part of the Carolinian forest. Named 'Tulip Tree' both for it's leaves and flowers. Light green leaves are individually shaped like an open tulip flower. The mature tree flowers in Spring with uncommon looking buttery yellow flowers with orange markings, that somewhat resemble a tulip. Lightly fragrant flowers sit on top of the branches and can be seen best from looking down on the tree. Pollinators love the flowers, seeds feed birds and squirrels.

Cold Hardiness - Zone 5.
Sizing - These trees are strong growers in the right conditions. They can reach 25-35 meters high.
Location - Full sun, Rich sandy or sandy loan soil, need lots of moisture in the summer.
