Features and Where to use
Venus was selected for its larger flowers, it has vigorous growth when young. The blooms come out in late spring. Best used as a feature tree with small complimentary shrubs/perennials around it. More adaptable to heavy soil than other flowering Dogwoods.
Growth Details
Cold Hardiness - Winters down to -30C. Sizing - Growth rate is fast for a flowering dogwood, and in ten years it should reach about 15' tall with an 8' spread. Location - full sun to 75% shade, it likes protection from harsh winds, doesn't like wet feet.
